Restaurant takeovers are one of the simplest — and tastiest — ways a PTA can give back to the school community. During a restaurant takeover, families are invited to dine at a local restaurant on a specific day or evening, and a portion of the sales from that event is donated directly to the school. It’s an easy, no-stress fundraiser that lets families enjoy a night out while supporting their students.
Beyond raising funds, restaurant takeovers help strengthen the connection between the school and the community. Local businesses get more customers and visibility, families get to socialize and relax, and the school benefits from extra funds that go toward programs, classroom resources, and events for students. It’s truly a win-win — good food, good company, and a great cause!
Donating to the CVHE PTA makes a significant impact on our children's educational experience and enhances a sense of community.
Donated funds help promote educational opportunities such as our assemblies, teacher grants and donations of books to the school's library.
Our family fun nights like Fall Fest, Cheata Bash and S.T.E.A.M. events help foster a sense of community and engagement among parents, students, and teachers, helping to build stronger relationships and a supportive school environment.
Your donation helps create a more vibrant, supportive, and effective learning environment for students, making a meaningful difference in their educational journey.
100% of every donation goes directly to our PTA Programs. We deeply appreciate your support! Additionally, your gift is tax-deductible.
Did you know that your employer might potentially match your donation to CVHE PTA?
Many San Diego area companies, including Qualcomm, Kaiser Permanente, Sempra Energy, LPL Financial, United Technologies, and many others provide a matching program.
How do I get the corporate matching funds?
If you are not sure if your company participates, please contact your human resources department. Most programs are accessed via the companies Intranet. To apply for the program, you must simply fill out the form from your employer and they will contact the PTA for verification or ask you to submit the form through your PTA contact. Please take advantage of this opportunity. It is a win-win for the children at Chula Vista Hills Elementary!
The CVHE PTA relies on volunteers to help us provide activities, programs, and educational resources for our school community!
We understand that everyone has different schedules and commitments, so we offer flexible volunteer options to accommodate your availability. Whether you can spare a few hours a month or can contribute on a more occasional basis, your contribution will make a significant impact on our students' educational experience.
Did you give your time to support CVHE PTA?
Many companies offer a Volunteer Matching Program that will make donations to the CVHE PTA based on the number of hours you volunteer with your PTA. Additionally, the hours can count towards the California High School community service requirement in accordance with Board Policy 6146.1 when accompanied by the Community Service Verification Form.
How do I get the corporate volunteer matching?
It's easy for our PTA to benefit from these offerings. Simply submit your volunteer hours on your company's employee volunteer site. A PTA Board Member will confirm these hours prior to payment from the company. Please check with your HR department to confirm their participation in a Volunteer Matching Program.
